With the recent passing of the Religious Liberties Bill here in Mississippi and all that has been written and talked about by the liberal main stream media since I figured I would chime in with my two cents.

First it needs to be stated I am very conservative, I belong to the Constitutional Party, (yes you can look it up) I am also a Reformed Baptist who believes in the infallibility of scripture. The end of the Bible in the book of Revelation Chapter (KJV) 22  18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. That means what God wrote I accept as truth and cannot and will not change.

That being said the liberal media paints a picture of hate and discrimination about believers like me surrounding issues like this. Nothing could be further from the truth. We, that is true born again believers are commanded, not asked, to love our neighbors; Matthew 22:36-40 ESV “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” and this of course includes those of the LGBT community.  No one let me repeat no one claiming to be a Christian can truly be a Christian and HATE someone from the LGBT community.

The word of God not the word of man says that the LGBT lifestyle is wrong. That those apart of the community are caught up in the bondage of sin and in need of being set free. As a Christian I (we) have two duties. First is to share the Good News Psalms 96:3 NKJV “Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.” that Christ is the way to true freedom.  Note as the Apostle Paul stated we are to always do this with gentleness 2 Timothy 2:25 ESV Correcting his opponents with gentleness. God may perhaps grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth, that God may be at work and not us.

Secondly we are called to never compromise the Word of God. Psalm 119: 1-4 (AMP) How blessed and favored by God are those whose way is blameless [those with personal integrity, the upright, the guileless], who walk in the law [and who are guided by the precepts and revealed will] of the Lord. 2 Blessed and favored by God are those who keep His testimonies, and who [consistently] seek Him and long for Him with all their heart. 3 They do no unrighteousness; they walk in His ways. 4 You have ordained your precepts, that we should follow them with [careful] diligence. Yet this is exactly what we are being called to do. The liberal minority has deemed this truth, Freedom of Speech (which this falls under) is this; you are free to agree with their liberal viewpoint or our speech is free to be censored and or outlawed or we are free to be imprisoned. It begs the question; who is being discriminated against here?

My Pastor last night made an interesting observation. If this was about anything more than wanting full acceptance for the LGBT community, they would look at this as a great opportunity. Start a business that caters to just that clientele, if as they claim their number are so strong they should do great and leave those with strongly held religious convictions alone.

Our Friends from ARBCA

From Covenant Baptist Church, the Church Plant in Clarksville, TN

We thank our Lord for your partnership with us in the work of the gospel here in Clarksville, and for your prayers on our behalf before the throne of grace.

Our Lord Jesus continues to sustain and grow us as a church body.  Again we were saddened to see two military families relocated and one non-military family move due to a job relocation at the end of last year, yet we were thankful for the time that we had with these families.  At the same time, the Lord has brought to us four military families and four non-military families that have been regularly attending our services.  Give thanks to God with us, and pray that these families might join with us in church membership.

The Lord has also been at work bringing salvation to the lost in our midst.  Last year, a young man moved to Clarksville to live with his father who is a member at our church.  Through the preaching of the Word and being involved in the life of the body, the Lord brought him to saving faith.  He was baptized this past October, and he met some of you down at the Lakeshore Project in January.  The Lord has also been at work in the heart of a young woman with a Jewish background.  In my report last year, I mentioned that I was meeting with her and some others to work through the Gospel of Mark.  She has come to profess faith in Jesus Christ, and will be baptized in the next month, Lord-willing.  Pray for these new Christians who are young in their faith to grow and be established in the grace of the Lord.

We would also request prayer for wisdom and grace as we continue to reach out into the community here with the gospel.  We are looking for ways to take the gospel to the local college campus here and hope to start an evangelistic bible study there soon.  We are also planning to have a booth at the Rivers and Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville in April.  We continue to reach out to co-workers, neighbors, and friends.  Please pray for the Lord to give us boldness and grace to faithfully proclaim the gospel, and that He would bring many to saving faith in Jesus.

One last request is that you would pray for the continued formation of the church body here in Clarksville.   We have been working through officer training for the last 10 months, and ask that you would pray for the Lord to raise up elders and deacons in our midst.  Our hope and plan as a church body is to officially constitute as a local church this coming May.  Please pray for the Lord to give us the wisdom we need to make the final preparations before we constitute.  Thank you again, brethren, for your prayers.

In Christ,

John Miller

Church Planter in Clarksville, TN

From Sovereign Grace Baptist Church, Ontario, California

Pastors Steve Marquedant and Jeff Massey

Please pray for a radio opportunity that Pastor Jeff Massey has each Friday from 5:05-6pm Pacific time.  He has an hour long program called “Redeemer Radio” that airs on a local secular station, KCAA 1050 AM, based out of Loma Linda.  He also receives twenty 1 minute promotional ads for the program each week.  He is structuring it as a talk show (not call in) with local Reformed Baptist Pastors as guests discussing doctrinal issues.  Steve M. was his first guest and will be a guest again this week on the topic of “The Scriptures”.  Future guests already scheduled are Dr. Jim Renihan, Jason Walter, Chris Beamer, and others.

This is part of our church’s effort to plant a Reformed Baptist Church in Redlands, California, about 30 miles west of Ontario.  Pastor Jeff will be the primary preaching pastor in this new work with a goal of starting Sunday AM worship this September.  A weekly Bible study already meets at the University of Redlands campus.

More about the church plant and a link to the podcast (available 24/7) of the weekly program “Redeemer Radio” is available at the following site: www.RedeemerReformedBaptistChurch.com .  We thank the Lord for this unusual opportunity and invite you to check out the podcast and let us know what you think.

True Freedom Outreach New Zealand; PRISON WORK IN EGYPT

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

Warm New Year greetings to all of you, and a special thank you to those who gave extra for Christmas.  I have been awaiting news of Christmas in Kanater and an updated list of KWP prisoners, before penning this newsletter.   From 8-12 January I attended the New Wine conference held in Warkworth, and was encouraged by the opening message given by Andrea Wigglesworth, that 2014 will indeed be a year of the Lord’s favour for New Zealand.  Two hundred years ago the gospel was first preached in New Zealand on 25th December, 1814, when a Maori chief, Ruatara, invited Samuel Marsden to speak in the Bay of Islands.  An initiative to reach every home in NZ this year with the good news of God’s grace is under way.  May 2014 be a year of God’s favour in your lands too, and in Egypt, and for the brothers and sisters in Kanater.  May we all see many receive the good news, be set free, and be enabled by the Holy Spirit to  minister God’s love and grace to others in need.

Please pray for ARBCA  national pastor Obed Rupertus.  Obed injured his hand with a circular saw.  Here is a note from his daughter:  “Please keep my daddy, Obed Rupertus, in your prayers! We thank the Lord that it didn't cut any bones, tendons or nerves but he is about to lose the piece of skin (flesh and muscle) base-back of his thumb due to infection He can't take pain killers cause of his thrombosis earlier last year so he's in a lot of pain. Pray for healing and strength, as he has to deal with this pain. Thank you so much! God is good.”

From Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jesup, Georgia

We are anticipating Earl Blackburn to be at EBC on February 15-16 and ask that you pray for the ministry of the Word during his visit.  For more than two years we have published a monthly article in the local newspaper.  Several folks from around the county have commented about the various articles.  Please pray that the Lord will use this outreach to advance His kingdom.

As a Reformed church in a small community we face various challenges.  One is the distance people travel to attend worship and various church functions.  Although there are several ARBCA churches in Georgia, none are close to Jesup.  Moreover, although there are many churches in Wayne and surrounding counties, none are reformed or even nearly reformed.  Currently folks are attending EBC from six different counties in addition to Wayne where EBC is located.  One challenge we face is how to assimilate and involve these people in the life of the church.  Please pray that through Christian prudence we can in wisdom address this situation and see EBC grow in number, influence and ministry.

From Grace Baptist Church in Van, Texas

Prayer requests:  1.  That we would seek to glorify God in all our duties, both personal and corporate    2.  That God would continue to give us a self-less spirit of seeking to serve one another and others    3.  That we might find new means of carrying the gospel to people in Van    4.   That we might find the right property on which to build, (or one with an existing building) that we might call our home for our meetings.   5.  That we all might be growing up into the image of Christ

Prison Ministry Report for 2013

Our Praise Report:

According to Correctional Populations in the United States Report of Bureau of Justice Statistics (December 19, 2013), about 6,937,600 offenders were under the supervision of adult correctional systems at year's end 2012. In 2012, about 1 in every 35 adults in the United States, or 2.9% of adult residents, was on probation, parole or incarcerated in prison or jail. It's estimated 1 in every 50 adult residents was supervised in the community on probation or parole.

International Network of Prison Ministries (aka “INPM” or "Prison Ministry Directory”) is a directory of prisons, prison chaplains, prison ministries and publishers of prison ministry materials, serving ministries and friends and family of inmates since 1994.

INPM provides free pages in our Directory, started by INPM and maintained by each ministry. INPM connects more than 200 ministries daily with friends and relatives of inmates by mail with requests for help, prison ministry literature and family situations. Most of prison ministry events are listed in Prison Ministry Calendar of Events

INPM is on the first line of the first page for search of “prison ministry” or “prison ministries”. Internet traffic world-wide related to “prison ministry” starts at INPM and goes to you, our members. As of today INPM is a network is 4584 prison ministers, chaplains and concerned Christians. Most of our members are Volunteer chaplains (1322), Church prison ministries (464), Aftercare organizations (363).

For your information, most neglected prison ministry outreach fields are: Deaf ministry (2) and Books, Bibles, literature, tracts in other than English languages (13).

The most active continents in the world are: North America (3912), Africa (171), Asia (137). Most of the USA prison ministries are in Texas (650), Florida (235), California (199). The least active in the USA is in Utah (8), North Dakota(6), Wyoming (6). Prison ministry capital of the world is Dallas, TX, a home to 87 prison ministries.

 Our Urgent Needs:

In late December 2013 INPM visitors experienced “Bandwidth Limit Exceeded” message. We used-up 78.78 (!) Gig of data (we do not have any streaming videos, bulk downloads, etc – plain pages displayed). As a result we are faced with purchasing a dedicated server with sufficient disc space and more traffic allowance. Also we desperately need your support in wring server software for cell phones and tablets applications so we can accommodate mobile friendly devices. We send Bibles, Bible-study materials, Life-Changing materials to those in need, and we need support for mailing and for storage/processing facility.

Next year INPM will celebrate its 20th anniversary. For two decades I have personally supported this ministry with development and maintenance funds for upkeep of the server and outreach. I cannot do it alone. I need your help. As INPM member, you are prayerfully requested to contribute to our common effort to make our society better and to serve each other in the field of Prison Ministry. If our good Lord speaks to your heart to be a part of INPM financially, please obey.

If your ministry or outreach benefits from our service, kindly consider sharing a small gift with INPM regularly, so we can accomplish more ministry together. On the page below you can find the option that best suits your gifts. You can donate with a check, PayPal or bank transfer. All contributions are tax-deductible. http://prisonministry.net/support.htm

Together we help bring home inmates changed! They are the ones that never return to prison!

Dear Fellow workers in Christ:
The Lord has called me to serve here in Tanzania through preaching and teaching the gospel to inmates here in season and out of season. We have seven people whom have volunteered to teach and preach the gospel in Prisons in Mbeya. Our challenge with this ministry is  the lack of any means of transportation to serve to inmates as some prisons located in rural areas so it cost much transportation to reach in these Prisons. We have many pastors whom they have interested to preach and teach  the gospel to inmates  in lake zone Mwanza, Bukoba, Tabora, Kigoma, and Singida. I went to visit them in December 2013, and talked with them about starting the prison Ministires and they were very happy to be affiliation with INPM. I request you to have the plan to visit there and we would like to prepare the conference for the prison for encourage the pastors there and those Christians who want to do this work for causes of Christ.

I request you Brother to assist us  with the work we do here in Mbeya. We have the need of financial to help us to run the the ministries here. It is our goal to sign many prisons as best as we can so that  the inmates may hear the Lord's word and live according to the word of God. And we have the need of some of Bible materials for inmates and some Bibles for inmates, this will help us to serve them more better.

I am looking forward to hearing  from you and working with you

Greetings from the Reformed Baptist Church in Payerne, Switzerland

Please pray with us as we seek the Lord’s will for the future projects of the church. During this past year Olivier has been regularly traveling to preach at a small church in Alsace, France. This struggling church is seeking an experienced pastor. Olivier will continue to preach there several times in 2014, as the church decides whether or not to call him as their pastor. If the Lord opens this door, Olivier and Denise would plan to move there to take up the work in the beginning of 2015. The church in Payerne considers calling Stefan to succeed Olivier as the full-time preaching pastor.

PRESENT NEEDS:

1. CREEK SIDE DIKE REPAIRS AND DORM REPAIRS = $350.00 three hundred fifty dollars.

2. CHANGE OF CHURCH WALL... I have not presented this last time but we presently included it since our wallings were made of bamboos but it will last an average of one year. We calculated that the cost of bamboo replacements in 6 will be equivalent cost to a concrete wall which will last for 30 years more or less.  The cost to cover the church wall is  =  $500.00 five hundred dollars.

The total needs cost $850.00 eight hundred fifty dollars more or less. So far these are the present needs we need to build-up for the glory of God. Once again, thank you very much my dear Bro. Mike for your labour of love - Hebrews 6:10. GOD BLESS US ALL!!!!!!!

THE ROBINSON’s Bluegrass Sing and Jam

Hello from Mike & Mary:

Life has been quite interesting since our last update letter. It has been a blend of blessing and trial and may very well end up in a sequel book! J

We have been working diligently in the "MO" and have mostly remedied the mildew/mold smell in the bedroom. Underneath the bed, the installed carpet covered with plastic has been absorbing moisture and "funk" from the bay underneath the bedroom slide. We ripped all that out and treated the wood with a solution of bleach and water and then used Kilz and two coats of paint. It smells better but there still is some odor. We can't even imagine how we'd go about ripping out the walls. Mike worked on the air conditioner in the front, but couldn't get it fixed, so we'll be replacing it next week. Oh, how we wish the heat wave would break. It's been almost 100 degrees in the front of that motor home.

Currently, "MO" is taking a little "vacation" over at G&S truck garage in West Hatfield. Our plan had been to travel from the festival in Brandon, Vermont directly over to the White's Beach festival in Brunswick, Maine. We thought we'd just kick back a couple of days around the fresh water pond and rest up before the festival got going. Murphy's Law took care of that pipe dream. We got up very early yesterday morning (4 AM) to try to beat the heat over to Maine. The day started with the festival sewer hose letting go and spraying black water all over Preacher Mike. We got stranded in the mountains of Vermont because of the hydraulic emergency braking system spewing out ATF fluid and locking up the brakes. Thankfully, there was a spot off the road we were able to pull off on. Mike disengaged the linkage and disabled the emergency brake and we made a plan to head back to Massachusetts where we have a home while the "MO" is being diagnosed and hopefully fixed. The back jack isn't come up either! We never have a break down when the weather is perfect. It's either blistering hot, pouring rain or wind gusts that are knocking you over. Please pray that we can get it fixed for a reasonable amount of $$$ and back in time for us to make our commitment in Maine. We are booked the next three weekends with both Emcee work and the Gospel Sing.

The weekend at Brandon was very fruitful and good. Mike emceed half the show and we manned our booth the whole weekend. We gave away several New Testaments and had lots of spiritual discussions and divine appointments at our booth. The Gospel Sing was very well attended with lots of pickers and singers. The crowd at Brandon has always sung so nicely.  Mike preached a message about absolute truth beginning with the idea of personal perspective and how you see things differently when you are given more information. One of my favorite sayings that I heard from an evangelist years ago is "It's a mighty thin pancake that doesn't have two sides" The good news of the Gospel however, is that it is absolute truth and it never changes. Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever.

As frustrating as some of the issues we've had with our 15 year old motor home, we are still very thankful for the life God has given us. It is such a blessing to be able to share God's love with the people He brings into our path. God is good all the time and He has already made provision for us in our time of need. We know without any doubt that if the Lord wants us to continue in this ministry, He will provide what we need at the exact time we need it.

In the midst of all the heat and work this weekend, we received the link to a newspaper article about us that will be published in the Springfield Republican on July 27, 2013. The article in online now at: http://www.masslive.com/living/index.ssf/2013/07/norm_roys_lollygaggerlarge_-_mary_rose_and_michael_robinson_riding_hallelujah_turnpike.html#incart_flyout_living

Please continue to pray for Annie and Rebecca. Also pray for Kelly K's friend, Chris recovering from Lung Cancer surgery.  Also, please pray for those in our mission field who are grieving loss of loved ones, specifically Boaz who is still grieving the loss of his wife. Pray we'll get "MO" back to fulfill our obligations this weekend and the next two. Lastly, please pray for those folks who are considering their eternity and considering asking Jesus to be their Savior. It really doesn't matter to us what we have to put up with here, if it means having our bluegrass friends in Heaven with us forever.

Prison Fellowship invites you to join us in praying for the work being done in prisons throughout the country, and for the lives being touched by this ministry.

This week, please pray for Tamara and her sister, Heather:"My sister Heather is in jail," writes Tammra. "I ask that y'all please pray for her and our family as we are dealing with this situation. Especially her two young children Coltin and Cameron.

"She may be going away for 3 years, but not sure how she or the children are going to handle this long separation. Heather lost her youngest child Chasity a couple of years ago to SIDs. Chasity was only 3 months when she passed. I feel my sister is just now starting the grieving process for her loss. On top of now being separated from her boys Cameron and Coltin.

"I pray she comes through this a better and strong woman and mother, and of her release sooner.  I pray for us her family and support system to have the strength and resources to help her and the children through this tough time. Thank you for everything."

Dear Lord's worker Michael:

Greetings from the  prisons ministries in Tanzania, God has blessed you Brother for your encouragement and prayer for the work we do here to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in inmates so that they may hear the gospel of Jesus Christ, believe the gospel  and obey it. There are many inmates changes their characters and they become  the good people among the communities. We have three prisoners who they had obeyed the gospel in prison, they are good good people within the communities and they are going well with the faith of Jesus Christ.

The following prison we have volunteered to spread the gospel:
Ruanda Prison: We have volunteered to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in this prison. We have 30 students in this prison and 6 prisons they had raised from the prison for the last year and they are doing well in the faith of Jesus Christ.
Songwe Prison: We have volunteered to teach the gospel of Jesus christ in this prison, we have 75 Bible students in this prison. This prison is located  about 120 kms from our home town so it is cost much  transport for going every two times per week. Our Prison Ministries here is very young to run itself, we pray the Lord that  could provide us some brethren who would like to assist us to do this work here. Because it cost much money of transport to there then we failed to go to serve there , it is three months now without conduct any Bible classes there.

AIRPORT CHILDREN'S PRISON: We have volunteered to spread the gospel to the inmates' children. We have 60 students in this prison. We go to serve them two times per week. The children in this prison are growing in faith of Jesus Christ, and we expect they will become the good children after raised from the prison.

It is our prayer to commit to serve the new Prisons here but this will be depending with your assistance with this ministry and we need the materials to use as curriculum to the prison as we poor to prepare our own materials for prison. We would like to encourage you to share these needs with your fellow workers, Ministries or the Church which can assist with the work here for the Prison.

Keep us posted your family and the labors of the kingdom of God.

Her son is in jail awaiting charges that could put him in prison for a long time, and she is caring for his little boy:

"The good news is he has found the Lord. The bad news is I have a six year old grandson and his mother who has mental illness. I feel pretty powerless and truly I am. Jesus is the only one who can make good come out of this mess.

"My prayer is for the charges to be dropped or reduced – that my daughter-in-law could be healed, and that my grandson would be protected from the evil one. Thank you for lifting us up in prayer."

From Berean Baptist Church in Ceres, California

Hello Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

We thank you for your prayers for Berean Baptist Church in Ceres, CA. We are excited about what the Lord is doing in our midst, and in our community. While we are still a small congregation, we have become increasingly aware of the Holy Spirit's work in the church.

This upcoming Lord's Day (June 9th), two men will be ordained to the office of deacon, which is the first time in a few years since Berean has had deacons. On the same Lord's Day three individuals will be baptised. One of these men was brought by one of our members several months ago. Another is a young man in church whose parents are members at Berean. The third is a young lady who our pastor works with, and has forsaken Sikhism, and turned to Christ.

We have been making more concentrated efforts to reach our community. Last month we held a table at a local street fair, and distributed Gospel literature, and spoke with many folks. Next month, we will have a table at our county fair, and do the same. There are thousands expected to attend this event. Pray that these may be an effective way to proclaim God's truth. We're also considering ways in which we may have permanent ministries to the needy in our area. This is a challenge for us, as our pastor works full time, as do all our members. To that end, we would also like to see at least one more pastor/elder at Berean in the near future.

We praise the Lord for your brotherly love, and prayers in Christ!

From Emmanuel Reformed Baptist Church, Georgetown, Texas

We are a church plant sponsored by the Heritage Baptist Church (HBC), Mansfield, Texas, and the Sovereign Grace Baptist Church (SGBC), Ontario, California. The elders of these two churches provide oversight to the work at Emmanuel. Steve Garrick, from HBC, and Bob Curley, from SGBC, were commissioned as church planters. After advertising heavily in the greater Austin area, from March through June 2012, we conducted informational meetings at the end of June. On July 8, 2012, we met for our first worship service. We began meeting in the Georgetown Public Library, and we have enjoyed a wonderful relationship with the library staff. We have just recently made arrangements to continue in the library for another year. Initially, we had only a worship service on Sunday mornings, but we added a Christian Education Hour in September.

Chuck and Cindy Cason, as well as Anita and Catherine Baines, have travelled from Mansfield to Georgetown (about a 3 hr. trip one way) every Lord’s Day to help with this church plant. Chuck leads the singing. Cindy helps with set up and greeting. Anita plays piano. Catherine has served as the mainstay of our nursery. All of them have provided invaluable service to the Lord in this good work of church planting. One of the men, who has attended almost from the beginning of our services, is a talented musician and vocalist and will begin playing the piano and leading the singing soon. This will allow these four people to return to the fellowship of HBC. We will miss them immensely.

During the past year, Steve Garrick preached on several aspects of the doctrine of the church, including messages on church leadership and government. During November and December, Bob Curley preached a series of messages on the Lord’s Day. Steve Garrick presented an overview of the 1689 London Baptist Confession during the Education Hour, and recently he has begun a study of Earl Blackburn’s book, Jesus Loves the Church and so Should You.

In March 2013, we presented a draft of the future bylaws and church covenant during our Education Hour, and the people attending had opportunity to discuss these documents, ask questions, and make suggestions. In April 2013, we began accepting applications for membership and conducting interviews of membership candidates. We have been blessed with a number of mature churchmen and churchwomen, who have been Christians for decades and have faithfully served churches of which they have been members. At least two of the applicants will require baptism. We will constitute as a church, vote on the bylaws, and elect elders in a special service on Saturday, July 20, 2013. We will constitute with about 25 adult members, plus three children.

Most recently, Steve Garrick began preaching through the book of Romans. Every message is full of the Gospel and the marvelous wisdom and grace of God in salvation.

We are so very thankful to all of you who have been praying for us and for this church plant. The Lord continues to answer your prayers. Please continue to pray for us. We specifically ask that you pray for health and strength for both Steve and Bob. Also, pray for the transition that Steve and his wife, Randie, will be making soon. They are selling their house near Mansfield and building a house near Georgetown. Most importantly, pray that the Lord will save people, add to the church, and continue to give us a foundation of unity, peace, and love upon which to build His church.

By the Mercy of Jesus,

Update and Prayer Letter from Grace Reformed Baptist Church, Palmdale, CA

We have continued to meet Lord’s Day after Lord’s Day, morning and evening. Our evening services are comprised of corporate prayer, singing, preaching, and the Lord’s Supper. After finishing a series on the Lord’s Supper last year, then a series on creation, the pulpit ministry has concentrated on a series of sermons on an overview of the New Testament, then several sermons on the parable of Luke 15. With the help of Benjamin Keach, Kenneth Bailey, and others on Luke 15, we were constantly reminded of our Savior’s mission to seek and to save the lost!

We have had a few visiting preachers since we last wrote – Pastors Jim Butler, Steve Marquedant, Lee McKinnon, Jeff Massey, and Kenneth Tillman. Earlier this year Pastor Barcellos spoke several times at Pastor Tillman’s church, Greater Union Baptist Church, Compton, CA, once on the Lord’s Day morning, and twelve Friday night sessions over a six-week period on the functions of the Decalogue in redemptive history. Pastor Barcellos is scheduled to speak at the Building Tomorrow’s Church Conference in Arizona and at Edward’s Air Force Base, Edwards, CA, on creation in June and at the Keach Conference in Virginia in September. Please pray for these opportunities.

We see visitors from time to time. Please pray for more to come and for the Lord to save sinners.

Since our last report to the churches, we have added three new members, bringing our membership to 20.

In February a dear friend of many of our members went to be with Christ. He was 49 and left behind a wife and five children. Also, a visitor has cancer. She is a wife and mother of three. Please pray for both families.

We pray for other churches often and cherish the bonds that are ours in Christ.

On behalf of the saints,
Richard Barcellos, pastor
